	The December 16, 2008 meeting was held in the Newton Public Library. The meeting was called to order at 7:16pm by President Dan Inskeep. Present were Aaron Diller, David Duerksen, David Godshall, Marion Harper, Dan Inskeep, and Joe Palmer. Minutes: The November Minutes were read and approved. Treasurer's Report: Added $15 to checking and $30 to petty cash from membership renewals, for a new checking account balance of $556.13, and $55 in petty cash, for a total of $611.13. Emergency Communication Center: Dan and Joe worked on the EOC antenna and equipment repairs and upgrades several weekends ago. The 911 equipment experienced some problems at the same time, and it was initially assumes the HAMs were responsible, but it turned out to be glithes in a new system that was installed and had nothing to do with the EOC radio repairs. Newton Festival of Lights: Dan Inskeep and Kent Stutzman handled it between the two of them and Dan reported it went well. Officer Election: David accepted nomination for the position of Secretary/Treasurer for one more year. The slate of nominees of Mike Harvey for President, Joe Palmer for Vice-President, and David Godshall for Secretary/Treasurer was accepted and voted in by unanimous consent. Future Events: The MCC Relief Sale will be April 17-18, 2009. Membership Renewals: Membership forms were handed out and a couple more memberships were renewed. All memberships run from January through December, so all memberships are up for renewal. Membership forms will be available at the January meeting, or a form can be printed from the website http://www.newtonarc.net/ under Club Information. Meeting Location Reservation: Dan mentioned that the meeting location needs to be reserved every single time, and it's easiest to reserve the next month's meeting immediately after the current meeting. This task was assigned to our new Vice-President Joe Palmer. Meeting adjourned at 7:45pm. -- David Godshall, Secretary/Treasurer
