Welcoming of Visitors:

Rich Harmison, W6HWK, visiting from California, formerly K0CIT
Kent Retzer, KE1NT, from IL, visiting folks at Kidron Bethel.

Minutes: Due to a hard drive crash, the May minutes were unavailable for reading. The treasurer's report was also not available.

Repeater: The repeater has been working great, with good range.

Field Day: Thanks to the work of Roger Wilson, the club is renting the Military Park shelter, the city has given us permission to stay overnight and has reduced the fee to $50 which the club treasurer has paid (there was also a refundable $25 deposit paid). Will plan to start setting up starting Saturday morning around 9am or so (Field Day operations start 1pm CDT). There was discussion about who would bring the various radios and antennas. Dan Inskeep will bring a generator to power the radios. Just as we started discussing signs and banners, possibly purchasing a large banner, John Ryding presented a cloth banner his wife made and donated, printed with "Amateur Radio Field Day, ARRL, Newton, KS"

Member List: Secretary will work on making the member list available through the web site (www.newtonarc.net) as well as in printed form. Will also distribute membership cards soon.

10M net: Dan Inkeep and Kent Harder tested having a 10m net after the 2m Sunday net and will be doing it again from time to time after the 2m nets.

Meeting adjourned 10:00am
