The March 19, 2005 meeting was held at Red Coach Restaurant in Newton.  The meeting was called to order at 9:14am by President Kent Harder.  Present were Lee Buller, Gary Dix, David Duerksen, Marc Friesen, David Godshall, Bob Harder, Kent Harder, Dan Inskeep, Sean Kelly, Ken Lundgren, Robin McDaniel, Bob Ogden and Roger Wilson.

Minutes: February Minutes were accepted with no corrections.

Treasurer's Report: Added $65 from club dues for a total of $748.37 in the checking account and $155 in petty cash for a total of $948.37

Kansas Mennonite Relief Sale: Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, usually show up around 2pm or so Friday, sale starts around 5pm.  Saturday opens around 6am and goes until 3-4pm.  At the Hutch fairgrounds, and normally use 82 for talk-in.  Usually use 146.48 for local traffic.

DX Contest: Horrible conditions but several club members participated.

Kansas Sampler Festival: May 7-8, Saturday & Sunday, first full week in May.  On behalf of Roger, Kent took a list of volunteers to help with the festival.

Repeater: Some discussion of who might be able to take over Trusteeship of the repeater.  Bob Harder is open to taking it over again if need be, and Dan Inskeep also expressed a willingness to take over the duties.  Bob Ogden asked for permission to use the club callsign N0NK for the Gertol Net in an attempt to complete a Worked All States challenge, and the club granted it.

Weather Spotters: The Harvey County meeting was a success.

On the weather subject, Sean Kelly mentioned there are almanac predictions that it will be a rough Spring this year.  He also reported he's going to Derby after the meeting and will be returning with a new APRS radio.

Meeting Location: David presented the combined results of the surveys that were returned.  Lee Buller made the comment that there were 12 people as this meeting, that's a pretty good argument for keeping the same time.  Two possible meeting times were discussed: 7pm Wednesday, 9am Saturday.  A show of hands between those two choices showed 9am Saturday the strong preference with two voting for Wednesday.  David moved that we leave the meeting time at 9am Saturday and continue discussion on location.  Several people seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

RACES: The weekly checkin meetings are running again, at 8:30pm Mondays on the 146.61 repeater.

Route 66: Roger asked Kent to let us know a DXpedition to Riverton, Kansas, will be happening this year, probably around September.

HAMfests: Valley Center's will be in October.

New repeater in the area: KC0RVV 145.29-, somewhere between Hesston and Canton.
