The May 17, 2008 meeting was held in the Newton Public Library.  The meeting was called to order at 9:05am by President Dan Inskeep.  Present were Aaron Diller, Alan Smith, David Duerksen, David Godshall, Dan Inskeep, Bob Ogden, Joe Palmer, Don Unruh, Don Smith, and Sherry Weir.

Minutes: The April Minutes were read and approved with one correction.  At the MCC Relief Sale, Aaron Diller was present Saturday morning, not David Duerksen.

Treasurer's Report: No update given.

Lorna Harder: Bob Harder was not able to make it to the meeting but reported that Lorna's hip surgery had been completed successfully and she was home recuperating.

Field Day: June 28-29 at Stutzman Retreat Center off of Halstead Road, about 10 miles NW of Newton.  Dan is making some tuned stubs to help reduce interference.  He will also bring a vertical.  Bob will probably bring a couple rigs.  The Club meeting will be two weeks before Field Day, since it will move to June 14th because of the Derby Sidewalk Sale the 21st.  Final preparations for Field Day will be made at that meeting.

Repeater: Sherry wondered if we had done a range test on the repeater yet.  She had trouble getting in from Andover road.  Dan said we had not but were wanting to do a  simplex test sometime.

Skywarn: Sherry reported the Tuesday 7pm Skywarn net has been moved from 146.82 to the Reno county 146.67 repeater due to recent reliability issues with the 82 repeater.  National Weather Service is also having some problems with their Yagi antenna they are looking into.
