Treasurer's Report: A $25 deposit was made to allow Roger Wilson to reserve Military Park for next year's Field Day, giving a checking account balance of $592.23, plus $120.00 in petty cash, for a total balance of $712.23.

Festival of Light Parade: Roger Wilson reported he needs 5-6 operators to help the Newton Chamber of Commerce Festival of Lights Parade, Tuesday, December 5. The parade starts at 7pm, so volunteers will be helping them line up on Main and 7th street prior to 7, probably starting around 5:30-6pm. Main job is getting everyone where they need to be, in cooperation with Chamber personel.

State Report: Secretary determined he has not yet filed and is currently in communication with the state regarding filing late. There was some discussion about the merits of being a non-profit corporation. The advantages of being a corporation allows the group to operate as a single entity for liability purposes, protecting the individual members.

Jamboree: Roger Jost is currently at the Jamboree at Marion Lake Reservoir, and Kent Harder has his cell phone number if there are any questions before heading out. Jeff Bitikofer, Mike Harvey, Kent Harder, Dan Inskeep are planning to head out to help, Ko Bartel and Bob Harder are considering going as well. Marion repeater is thought to be off the air, Roger Jost will be monitoring 146.52.

Elections: Nominations will be taken at the next meeting, and officer elections will take place at the December meeting.

Meeting adjourned 9:40am.
