The July 21, 2001 meeting was held at Spear's Restaurant in Newton. The meeting was called to order at 9:14am by President Ron Farthing. Present were Lon Buller, Dave Duerksen, Ron Farthing, Xon Fesler, David Godshall, Kent Harder, Dan Inskeep, Roger Jost, Don Unruh, and Roger Wilson.

The June minutes were read with one correction: last meeting's minutes reading was of the May minutes, not the June minutes.

Treasurer's Report: No change to balance of $960.09.

Antenna: Ron passed along word from Robin that the antenna will be about $500. Ron suggested perhaps the club could purchase the antenna with their own funds, with the county to reimburse half, or perhaps Lon can get a discount. Robin is authorized to work with Lon and purchase the antenna.

Field Day: David gave a report on Field Day, somewhat low turnout but a lot of fun. Roger suggested a good logging program by N3FJP; do a web search.

Skywarn: Pretty quiet in the severe weather category.

Weekly Net: Still doing 8pm Sunday nets on 146.61 repeater. Missed a couple last month because nobody took net control duties, so Ron suggested anybody who is monitoring and willing to be net control feel free to do so.

Miscellaneous Discussions: Several miscellaneous matters were discussed.
